In the eRATEX configuration menu are the customizations to ASP.NETStorefront that were in the eRATEX menu in v9.

eRATEX

 In the eRATEX menu are pages for course book configurations and settings, including creating payment restrictions.

Booklist Config

Booklist Config, contains settings and configurations the display and behavior of the Courselist Builder and Booklist pages.

Modify Terms

In Modify Terms, create and edit term information, including the location of Rental Agreements and Rental Return Dates.

Modify Campuses

Use this to view campuses, and change their display order in the customer site.

Product Data Configuration

In Product Data Configuration are configurations and settings for importing product metadata (integration with Bowker / Books in Print).

 

Here you may also protect product metadata from being overwritten by VR and Bowker product imports.

Manage Products Lists

In Manage Product Lists, configure the display and behavior of product pages. This includes related, and upsell products.

Rental and eBook Configuration

In Rental and eBook Configuration are the settings for the display and behavior of rentals and ebooks.

Payment Method Restrictions

In Payment Method Restrictions, you configure non-credit card payment options. This includes AR charges, student card, and department charges.

 

Course Products

In the Course Product pages you assign and remove trade books (TR) and general merchandise (GM) to courses you have imported.

 

You can also create Product Types, such as required, optional, and other categories to help students decide which materials to buy.

Assign Products to Courses

In Assign Products to Courses, you assign non-textbooks (TR and GM) to selected courses.

Here, you also set Product Types, such as required and suggested.

Remove Products from Courses

In Remove Products from Courses, you remove TR and GM assigned to selected courses.

Course Product Types

In Course Product Types, you create and configure the Product Types used for materials assigned to courses in Assign Products to Courses.

 

Textbook Pre-Orders

In Textbook Pre-Orders, you manage pre-orders and pre-order settings.

 

NOTE: Textbook Pre-Orders are licensed features, purchased separately. See your eRATEX licenses for available license options.​

Pre-Order Queue

In Pre-Order Queue is summary information for outstanding pre-orders (including statuses: Ready to Convert, Pending, Closed, and Canceled). Here you can research specific pre-orders.

 

Here, you convert pre-orders to internet orders, when they are ready to fill.

Pre-Order Configuration

In Pre-Order configuration are parameters and settings for the display and behavior of the pre-order pages.

 

Zip Tax Rates

 In Zip Tax Rates you import and export files for sales tax rates by zip code.

Zip Tax Rate Import

In Zip Tax Rate Import, you configure the format, and upload files, for importing tax rates to apply to sales based on zip codes of shipping addresses.

Zip Tax Rate Export

In Zip Tax Rate Export, you configure and export files for tax rates to apply to sales based on zip codes of shipping addresses.

 

 

Advanced

 In the Advanced menus, you configure other settings, such as customer authentication, systems integration, and email communications (MailChimp and iPost integration).

Authentication Services

Here you configure student authentication using one of three supported services: CAS, LDAP, or SAML/Shibboleth.

Student Authentication Rules

In Student Authentication Rules, you configure the point in eRATEX transactions when customers must authenticate.

Options include: Shipping Method Selection, Rental Agreement Acceptance, Viewing Product, Adding Product to Cart, and Checking Out.

Student Schedule File Import

In Student Schedule File Import, you configure the format of files used to import student schedules into eRATEX.

This file is used to create personalized course lists.

 

Note: Some clients import student schedules directly through authentication, and do not use this menu. Configure this option in Student Authentication Rules.​

Encrypted Course Links File Import

In Encrypted Course Links File Import, you configure the format for importing encrypted links to coursebook pages.

​

This optional functionality is to protect course information.

Re-Send Orders to VR

In Re-Send Orders to VR, you may send an order to VR that may have had a problem being imported.

Email Marketing Services

In Email Marketing Services, you configure third party email marketing services (iPost and Mail Chimp).

Custom Data Configuration

In Custom Data Configuration, you configure customized data collection for carts with GM, TX, and/or TR items.

 

You may also configure sending this data to VR here, as well.

Admin Security

In Admin Security, you configure admin user roles.

​

You might use this to create a user to place phone orders, but have no other administrative access.

SP Richards Product Import

In SP Richards Product Import, you configure importing the SP Richards product catalog.

Staples Product Import

In Staples Product Import, you configure the import of the Staples product catalog.

Integration Configuration

In Integration Configuration, you select and configure VR and third party integration. This includes Verba, Textbook, SciQuest, and Access Codes (eBook).

 

Here you can enable logging for eRATEX as well.
