Pre-Order Configuration

Here you configure the behavior and display of Pre-Order pages.

 

This includes including start and end dates, pre-order course information formatting, and the behavior and display of items in the Pre-Order display pages.

 

Below are the settings and associated parameters for Pre-Orders.

 

Settings

 

Setting Parameter Name Description
Pre-Order Term RATEX.TextbookPreorder.TermID The eRATEX Term ID to apply to Pre-Orders
Pre-Order Start Date RATEX.TextbookPreorder.StartDate The date to start allowing textbook preorders.
Pre-Order End Date RATEX.TextbookPreorder.EndDate The date to end textbook preorders.
Pre-Order Product ID RATEX.TextbookPreorder.ProductID Product ID to be added to the customer's shopping cart to represent the Pre-Order.
Department Display Format RATEX.TextbookPreorder.DeptMask Format for the Department when entered as a Pre-Order. Use a regular expression to define the mask.
Course Display Format RATEX.TextbookPreorder.CourseMask Format for the Course when entered as a Pre-Order. Use a regular expression to define the mask.
Section Display Format RATEX.TextbookPreorder.SectionMask Format for the Section when entered as a Pre-Order. Use a regular expression to define the mask.
Pre-Order Personalization Enabled RATEX.TextbookPreorder.Personalization.Enabled Enable this to allow the student to use personalization when selecting their courses for a pre-order. The Pre-Order Personalization will use the same options that are configured for the Booklist Personalization.
Ignore Inventory when Converting RATEX.TextbookPreorder.IgnoreInventory Enable this to ignore inventory when converting textbook pre-orders. If this is disabled, products that are out of stock could prevent a pre-order from converting.
Satisfy Req'd Choice List by Lowest Price RATEX.TextbookPreorder.RequirementChoiceListByPrice Enable this to have Textbook Pre-orders satisfy requirement choice lists using products with lowest price instead of using products with highest inventory.
Auto Add Materials for "ALL" section RATEX.TextbookPreorder.AutoAddAllSection Enable this parameter to automatically add the materials for the All section for a course.
Pre-Order Subsitution Behavior
Set preferences for how substitutions are handled: Always, Never, or Allow Customer Selection
Default Material Ranking RATEX.TextbookPreorder.DefaultMaterialRanking The ranking to use for customers who have never placed a pre-order before. Should be a comma-separated list of the materials to use in the order of priority, or a single value if you do not allow substitutions: n for new, u for used, rn for new rental, ru for used rental, e for ebooks
Include Conversion Order Note on Receipt RATEX.TextbookPreorder.IncludeConversionOrderNote Enable this to store the text in the "preorder.conversionordernote" String Resource in the OrderNotes field of the new Order when converting a Pre-Order. The {0} placeholder in the String Resource will be replaced with the Pre-Order number.
Send Receipt Email RATEX.TextbookPreorder.SendReceiptEMail Enable this to send a confirmation email to the customer when they place a Textbook Pre-Order.
Send Email On Pre-Order Update RATEX.TextbookPreorder.SendEmailOnUpdate Enable this to send an email to customers when their pre-order is updated, completed or canceled.
Pre-Oder Conversion Auto-Run > Enabled RATEX.TextbookPreorder.AutoRun.Enabled Enable this to automatically run the Pre-Order conversion process at the time specified in the RATEX.TextbookPreOrder.AutoRun.Time AppConfig.
Pre-Order Conversion Auto-Run > Auto-Run Start Date RATEX.TextbookPreorder.AutoRun.StartDate The date to start the Auto-Run scheduler.
Pre-Order Conversion Auto-Run > Auto-Run End Date RATEX.TextbookPreorder.AutoRun.EndDate The date to end the Auto-Run scheduler.
Pre-Order Conversion Auto-Run > Daily Auto-Run Time RATEX.TextbookPreorder.AutoRun.Time Set to the integer hour of the day to execute the Pre-Order Auto-Run conversion process. All times are Eastern Time, so 1 would represent 1:00 AM Eastern.
Pre-Order Conversion Auto-Run > Convert Remaining Pre-Orders RATEX.TextbookPreorder.AutoRun.ConvertRemaining Enable this to automatically convert all remaining Pre-Orders once the Auto-Run End Date is reached. If a course on a Pre-Order is missing products, that course will be canceled from the Pre-Order. If a Pre-Order cannot be converted, it will be canceled.

RATEX.TextbookPreorder.HiddenMaterials Material types that should not be shown to customers. Should be a comma-separated list of the materials to hide: rn for new rentals, ru for used rentals, e for ebooks
RATEX.TextbookPreorder.SendEmailOnCourseUpdate Enable this to send an email to customers when a product is added to a course on their converted pre-orders.
RATEX.TextbookPreorder.SubstitutionOverride Set to 1 to allow the customer to choose if they want to substitute textbooks. Set to 2 to always substitute. Set to 3 to never substitute.
