Shipping methods are created in VisualRATEX (VR) at VisualRATEX > OF > Maintenance and Set up > Ship.

Except for in-store pickup, you should rarely make changes to shipping methods outside VR, as this is not recommended by RATEX.

Procedures

Creating In-Store Pickup Shipping Method

 Note: In-store pickup must be a shipping method name already created in VR. See VR documentation for creating shipping methods there.

Viewing and Changing Shipping Methods in eRATEX

1. ​In eRATEX Admin, click Configuration > Set Up Your Store > Shipping Calculation.
2. Under Custom Shipping Calculations, click View Shipping Methods.
3. Click the shipping method.
4. Edit fields as appropriate:
   1. In Name, type the name used for this method in eRATEX admin.
   2. In Display Name, type the name used for this method in the eRATEX store.
   3. In Real Time Shipping Rate, type 0.
   4. If you want this method to display in your eRATEX store as a free shipping method, select Add to Free Shipping List or Add to Free Shipping Only List.
   5. If you are creating In-Store Pickup, select Is Pickup. New fields display.
      1. In VR Shipping Method Name, enter the name of the pickup method as defined in VisualRATEX.
      2. Select Show Pickup Contact, if you would like the customer to enter contact information when they select In-Store Pickup.
      3. Select Default to Billing Address, if you would like the contact information to default to the customer contact information.
      4. In the Pickup Address fields, enter the store location information.
   6. In Icon Image, select the icon to display for In-Store Pickup that displays in your eRATEX store site.

Creating a Shipping Method in eRATEX

Shipping methods must be created in VR before they can be created in eRATEX. See VR documentation for how to do this.

1. In eRATEX Admin, click Configuration > Set Up Your Store > Shipping Calculation.
2. Under Custom Shipping Calculations, click View Shipping Methods.
3. Click Create.
4. In Name, type the name used on the admin site by eRATEX.
5. In Display Name, enter the name that displays on the customer site Secure Checkout page, under Shipping Via.
6. In Real Time Shipping Rate, type 0.
7. In Icon Image, select the image to display on the customer site Secure Checkout page.
