Overview

My Rentals is here, continuing the eRatex All About Me initiative! It's a way to track active rentals and rental history that shoppers can access from their account page.

Features

When a shopper clicks the View Your Rentals link on the Account Information page the My Rentals page appears as illustrated below:

 From the My Rentals page, account holders can quickly view their active and overdue rentals and gain more information about their rental fees. 

Each rental displays bibliographical information, dates, and fees.

The circles contain a number representing the number of days left in the rental. Hovering over one of the circles causes a tooltip to pop up.

When a rental has been returned, a green checkmark is displayed in the circle instead.

The more details links can be clicked to provide rental policy reminders, usually information about possible extra fees for that rental.

​Configuration

Settings

The following settings must be correctly configured for My Rentals  to function.

AllAboutMe.Rentals.Enabled

When true, All About Me: My Rentals will be available from the Account page. Please note: this requires that the RatexNet API is correctly configured for your website.

Ratex.API.Environment

The Subdomain of the RatexNet API environment. An example would be omni  if the full domain was https://omni.azure-api.net. Please contact PrismRBS support to learn the proper value for this setting.

Ratex.API.Key

The random, unique key generated for the Environment and Context. It allows connection to the RatexNet API Environment. Please contact PrismRBS support to learn the proper value for this setting.

Ratex.API.Context

The User Name tied to your site as it exists in the RatexNet API Environment. Must be configured alongside RATEX.API.Context and RATEX.API.Environment. Please contact PrismRBS support to learn the proper value for this setting.

Why am I not seeing bibliographic data for a textbook?

Bibliographic data is sourced from both the RatexNet API and the textbook products as configured on the storefront. Please make sure that textbook is configured properly in both places.
