Data is passed to and from VisualRATEX and eRATEX through a powerful XML-written integration process. There are two integration types: upload processor (web update) and download processor (web download). Products (General Merchandise, Textbooks and Courses, and Tradebooks), inventory updates, product changes, and order status updates are sent from VisualRATEX to eRATEX via web update. Web orders and adoptions are sent from eRATEX to VisualRATEX via web download.
In the event data does not properly pass properly, web data can be manually refreshed from VR. See VR documentation for more information.
Product inventory is sent from VR to eRATEX in a near real-time basis. Product thresholds can be defined in eRATEX and VR to "hide" a product when the inventory falls below the threshold. In eRATEX, adjust this in Configuration > Settings > RATEX.PurchaseThreshold. See VR documentation for setting purchase thresholds in VR.
For the most part, changes to products and orders are made in VR and pushed up to eRATEX.
See VisualRATEX help for more information about VisualRATEX / eRATEX integration.
Web IDs
Web IDs are created and maintained in VisualRATEX, and used to associate products in eRATEX with products in VisualRATEX. They are unique identifiers used in VisualRATEX-eRATEX integration. Web IDs are used in eRATEX as product SKUs, and flow up from VR as part of web update. See Manage Products for more information about products in eRATEX.
Manually Sending Up Web Updates
See VR documentation for manually sending updates from VR to eRATEX.
Re-Sending Orders to VR
In case an order gets corrupted being sent down to VR, resend orders to VR in eRATEX Admin > Configurations > eRATEX > Advanced > Re-Send Orders to VR.
