Release Notes

This release, launched April 7, 2015, continues our company commitment to helping online sellers to drive traffic (and then cope with the resulting administrative effort.)

For driving traffic

  • Moved to the latest Google implementation of 'Google Trusted Stores' - feeds are no longer necessary
  • Google Webmaster tools prefers AspDotNetStorefront kit pages, since we changed the nature of the floating 'buy box'
  • We now honor Google Shopping's request for product dimensions (for store-owners using Real-Time Shipping)
  • DotFeed now offers "Lookup Data" to extend the nature of data that can be used for Google product optimization

For converting visitors, and taking sales

  • Added locale support to the new-look Admin Console that was part of 9.5.0
  • Dramatic performance gains, with particular shopper focus on promotions and 'add to cart'
  • Further demonstration of adherence to PCI regulations - administrators and shoppers (in the checkout) are 'timed out' for their own safety.
  • Improved performance behavior when displaying 'related products'
  • The new PayPal lightbox Checkout option is now available for 'guest' (anonymous) shoppers
  • The 'View Larger Image' prompt is now intelligent and only appears when a large image has been uploaded

For faster processing of orders, and setting up for further growth

  • Dramatic performance gains, with particular administrative focus on shopper/session lookup
  • Logging customer searches is now an option - turn it off for faster performance, or let it run to collect search data
  • Updates to Monthly Maintenance, to help year-round performance
  • New 'bulk' actions allowing volume data throughput - with this release we allow weights and dimensions to be handled in bulk
