The application will check for the status of outbound email (Configuration - Setup E-Mail) - if it is not setup (specifically the *Mail Server DNS which is the Configuration - Settings - MailMe_Server value), then 'Forgot Your Password?' will not be available on the signin page. Users will be required to contact the site admin to have their account manually reset in the site admin console.
Note that the email configuration does not have to be functional for the 'Forgot Your Password?' link to appear, so you may not get the reset email mailed to you if the configuration has issues. You may have to contact the Help Desk for assistance with regaining admin access. It is highly recommended to have a backup Super Admin email account available, and be sure to keep it updated with a current password.
